Class description
In this introductory course, students learn how to frame search queries in an effective manner using search engines available from Google, MSN and other providers and compete in Internet search games. The course also provides insight in evaluating the usefulness and authority of a visited web site, plus a few precautions to help you avoid unwanted content and security problems. Students may bring their own wireless-capable laptop computers to this class, but we recommend that they run on Windows XP or Mac OS X for best results.
Age range: Grades 6 and up or adult, depending upon class section
Maximum class size: 12 students
