Volunteer with MOAH!
Volunteers are the lifeline of the Museum of American Heritage (MOAH), and many have been with us since the very beginning. We rely on our dedicated volunteers in many ways and are beyond grateful for their time and commitment.
Volunteering is a great way to connect with the community and has many health benefits (it’s scientifically proven!). Whether you want to get more involved in the community or to enjoy the health benefits, MOAH would love to hear from you!
We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities in the following areas:
Gallery Support, including docent opportunities
Collections Care, including restoration projects
Artifact Research
Garden
Events
Social Media
General Facilities Support
MOAH has in-person and virtual opportunities, and we welcome teens ages 15 years and up with a guardian’s approval!
Why Volunteer with MOAH?
We offer flexible schedules, a caring team, an opportunity to both engage with the local community and contribute to a small local museum. Volunteers can also fulfill school or community service hours, and we’re happy to provide recommendation letters for resumes or portfolios.

Thank you to all of MOAH’s amazing volunteers! We couldn’t, and wouldn’t want to, be here without you!
